Accordingly, we (“we” and “GivingJoy” mean Chauhan Technologies LLC, a Washington Limited Liability Company),  have developed this Policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and disclose personal information. This Privacy Policy explains data collection and use practices of the www.GivingJoy.us Website and all its directly linked sub sites (the “Website”); this Policy does not apply to the practices of other online or offline websites, products or services. By accessing the Website, you, the visitor, are consenting to the information collection and use practices described in this Privacy Policy.

In support of these uses, GivingJoy may use personal information to provide you with more effective service, to improve the Website and any related GivingJoy products or services, and to make the Website easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information. Provide information regarding products and services. We may use your personal information to provide you with important information about the product or service that you have purchased or inquired about and may send you information about other GivingJoy products and services. We will make available to your selected nonprofits online reports identifying, where available, the name, address, email, and transaction accounting details relating to your donation.

Improve personalized content. We may merge the Website's traffic data with demographic information, and we may use this information to provide more relevant content. We may combine traffic data with your personal information in order to provide you with personalized content.

Legal Disclosure. GivingJoy may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on GivingJoy; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of GivingJoy or its affiliates; or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of GivingJoy employees or agents, users of GivingJoy products or services, or members of the public.

Geographical Transfer. Personal information collected on the Website may be stored and processed in the State of Washington or any other state or country in which GivingJoy or its affiliates or agents maintain facilities, and by using the Website you consent to any such transfer of information to another state or country.

3. Control of Your Personal Information

Please be aware that this Privacy Policy and any choices you make on the Website will not necessarily apply to personal information you may have provided to GivingJoy in the context of other GivingJoy products or services.

GivingJoy may send out periodic e-mails to you with information on our products or services. You will be given the option to unsubscribe from these mailings.

GivingJoy will use commercially reasonable efforts to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, due to computer hackers, electronic malfunctions, and other events, GivingJoy cannot guaranty that such safeguards will always protect such information.

5. Information Received from Third Parties

GivingJoy collects your information from third parties to facilitate activities and transactions for the operation of the Website and its services, to improve your Website user experiences, and to further GivingJoy’s mission activities.

5. Referral Service and Third Party Information

Sending Invitations. If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our Website, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the Website. GivingJoy stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. Your friend may contact us at contact@GivingJoy.us to request that we remove this information from our database.

Importing Contacts. You can import contacts from your Gmail, Yahoo! or another email account's address book to invite your friends to become members of our Website. We through our service providers collect the username and password for the authorized email account solely for the express purpose of enabling you to import your contacts.

7. Use of Cookies

Storing cookies. We may use cookies on this Website to enhance your user experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a webpage server. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. For example, if you navigate within a website, a cookie helps the website to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. We may share such Website statistics with partner companies.

8. Special Notice about Children and Minors

Children. We ask that children under the age of 13 not submit any personal information to us. Children may only use this service in conjunction with a parent or guardian.

Sale of Minor’s Personal Information

We do not, and will not, sell the personal information of minors under 16 years of age without “affirmative authorization.” This means that if you are a minor between 13-16, we will ask you if you wish to sell your personal information. If you “opt-in” to the sale of your personal information, we will confirm your choice with a second request for confirmation. 

Right to “Request to Delete” Personal Information

Consumers have the right to “request to delete” personal information that we have collected. We may not have to comply with the request if it is necessary to do any of the following enumerated in 1798.105(d).

Right to Opt-Out of the Sale of Personal Information.

We do not sell consumers’ personal information to any third parties. In the event that we do elect to sell personal information in the future, we will first notify you (which may be via on-site popups or email notification) and provide you with the right to “opt-out” of the sale of your personal information.

If you wish to designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf pursuant to the CCPA, we will require that you provide the authorized agent with written permission and that you verify your own identity directly with us by supplying personal information so we may confirm your identity.
